The Crediton Photography Club offers those interested in photography an opportunity to meet, compete, teach and learn. It will develop to meet the needs of its members encouraging those new to photography, whatever their age, to improve and share their skills and enjoy even more this fascinating art form.
The club has been successful in obtaining a lottery grant to purchase the latest Computer, Software and Projector. So as a club we are now in a strong position, not only to view the many digital images which our members are producing but have excellent tools for training members at all levels in digital techniques.
Our club evenings cover a wide range of topics. We have outside speakers who show us their work and explain how they achieve such good results.
Several club evenings are devoted to hands-on instruction where members have the opportunity to acquire new skills.
Not all our meetings are of a highly technical nature. Last year members had each drawn the name of a local village out of a hat and they showed us at the end of the season what that village has revealed to them photographically. Be it a single print or a digital AV presentation.
We hold competitions both within the club and against other clubs in the area.
